Through a blend of self-study modules, live discussions, and action planning, participants will learn to optimize care for DEE patients by understanding the impact of anti-seizure medications on both seizure and non-seizure symptoms.

Dr. Jordan Burdine, Pharm.D., MBA, BCPPS is the System Neonatology and Pediatrics Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Memorial Hermann Health System (MHHS). She graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy (TTUHSC-SOP) in 2015 and went on to complete a PGY1 pharmacy residency at West Virginia University Medicine, followed by a PGY2 pediatrics residency at TTUHSC-SOP. After completing residency, she worked as a Pharmacy Clinical Practice Specialist in Neonatology and Pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) and an appointed Pediatric Faculty member at the UTMB School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics. As a System Specialist at MHHS, Dr. Burdine is dedicated to advocating for and establishing clinical pharmacy initiatives and serving as a clinical resource to the Pharmacy Division, MHHS Women’s and Children Service Line, as well as our Memorial Hermann Medical Group affiliates. Throughout her career, Dr. Burdine has actively participated in and led many clinical research and quality initiatives, with several publications in peer-reviewed journals, and served as a preceptor for many pharmacy students and residents. Dr. Burdine is also active in her profession at the local, state, and national levels – notably serving as the Director-at-Large for the Pediatric Pharmacy Association, past President of the Gulf Coast Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Chair of the Pediatrics and Neonatal Task Force for the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and long-term member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists Advisory Group on Pediatrics.
