Dr. Gao is a graduate of The Johns Hopkins University. He attended medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center where he stayed to complete his Hematology/Medical Oncology Fellowship at the University of Maryland Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Gao is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology.
